Privacy Policy
In a space this close to health, personal data deserves extra weight. LINGO CARE handles data by three principles: minimal collection, clear purpose, and your control.
1. What we collect
- Account: email, name (optional), contact (optional), password (stored as a hash — never in plain text).
- Activity: questions, posts, comments, order and payment history, wallet transaction records.
- Technical: access logs and cookies (login session, language preference lc_locale).
2. What we deliberately do not collect
- Medical documents — records, test results, prescriptions. The question form intentionally has no file-upload for them.
- Cancer type and stage fields on questions are optional, and anonymous posting is the default.
- We believe the strongest protection is not collecting sensitive data at all, and we encourage you not to include sensitive medical details — yours or others’ — in posts.
3. How we use data
- Service: account authentication, Q&A and community operations, order and delivery processing.
- Safety: handling reports, enforcing guidelines, preventing abuse.
- Improvement: service quality work based on de-identified statistics.
- We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not profile you for advertising.
4. Storage and protection
- Passwords are one-way hashed; sensitive credentials (such as Advisor license numbers) are stored with AES-256 encryption.
- Data lives on access-controlled cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- When you delete your account we erase personal data without delay; transaction records under statutory retention duties are kept separately for only the required period.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification & erasure: correct inaccurate data, or delete your account and data.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured format.
- Restriction & objection: ask us to stop specific processing.
- To exercise any right, use the Contact link in the footer — we respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies
- We use only essential cookies (login session) and preference cookies (language). No advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Payments and wallets
- Card payments are processed by a payment gateway; LINGO CARE servers never store card numbers.
- JOJU token payments are recorded on a public blockchain ledger by nature and cannot be deleted. Wallet addresses are managed in connection with your account.
8. Changes
- Material changes to this policy are announced on the site. Last revised: July 2026.
