Community Guidelines

The LINGO CARE community is a place where people living with cancer — and the families beside them — can speak safely. Please help us keep this space warm by honoring these shared commitments.

1. Respect every journey

Everyone here is moving through a different moment. We don’t compare or judge.
Mockery, insults, hate speech, and discriminatory language are never allowed.
Share, don’t prescribe. “This is what helped me” is welcome; “you must do this” is not.

2. No medical advice

This community is for sharing experiences and daily life — not diagnosis, treatment, or prescriptions.
Posts recommending specific treatments, drugs, or dosages, or urging someone to stop treatment, may be hidden.
“Miracle cures”, unverified therapies, and definitive efficacy claims are reportable as medical misinformation.
Always discuss health decisions with your own care team.

3. Protect privacy

Do not post real names, contact details, hospital or clinician names, or photos of medical records — yours or anyone else’s.
Do not copy other members’ posts or photos outside the platform without consent.

4. No commercial use

Promoting products or services, funneling to external links, and recruiting are prohibited.
Privately soliciting money or purchases from members you met here leads to immediate action.

5. Reporting and blocking

Use the Report button on any post or comment that breaks these guidelines. Our team reviews every report.
Use Block to hide a user from your view — they are not notified.
Repeated violations can lead to hidden posts, posting limits, or account suspension.

6. If you are in crisis

Please don’t wait for a community reply — reach out for help right away.
